My 2 month old son was freaking the fuck out last night like we never heard before so I pulled over in a parking lot so my wife could feed him.
Blasted in a few rounds of Gran Turismo 3 in the car while I waited. Good times were had.
No regrets in putting a PS2 in the car yet.
No pictures of last night so this will have to do.

You need to get yourself a copy of GT2. Best car selection of all time!

My son would be pumped if I put a ps2 in the car but he’d want me to play Shadow of the Colossus every time we went anywhere.

That may be the only reason I’d ever consider changing my car headunit.

Dad of the year! Mine had reflux the first few months so I either catnapped or hunted for an M5 while holding multiple burp cloths at the ready.

Stock screens in Ford. You can do this with most yellow/red/white RCA video inputs on MyFordTouch.
(or you could get an after market screen in everything else lol)

Are they ever going to come out with the sequel, last guardian? It's been in development for like a decade and supposed to release this year but it's like the NSX of games.

I know it’s the stock screen in a Ford, but 90's Toyota had the calculator displays.

I have it and a PS1(FAT) in the house. I’d just need to get a PS1 Slim to fit in the dash.
I agree that GT2 was the BEST GT of all times.

I dunno. I only recently realized the huge cult behind this game.

Some of the earlier consoles the resolution is too low that the LCD screen won’t recognize it. You’ll have audio but no video.
N64 is no bueno in the car since is only 480i. I think you need at minimum 640i for it to work. PS2 is about as early that will work maybe even a PS1 but I doubt it.

I’m sure if you had a larger vehicle you could put an original xbox on it (that thing was HUGE) and you could do a Game cube too

hahaha

But it works so I’m not changing it.

Yes the original Xbox is no problem. I could always put it under the passenger seat. Gamecube and dreamcast would probably work too.

That’s what it took to make me change the head unit in my Milan.
the LEDs went out in it and I couldn’t see a damn thing the radio was doing.
Put this in last summer LOVE IT

I just want a headunit that doesn’t look cheap and aftermarket.

Mine actually looks classier in person than it does above.
It also came with bluetooth for phone and audio and pandora integration. sounds a million times better than stock unit too.
This was the original unit:

And in my opinion the GameCube had the best controller I’ve ever held for a video game system. Love the way it fits in my hands. Those deep trigger pulls too

Supposedly Sony confirmed The Last Guardian to be releasing this fiscal year . So, by July? http://nichegamer.com/2016/03/15/hor…

I believe GT2 should be backwards compatible on PS3

I don’t have a PS3 so I couldn’t be bothered. That’s too new school for me.

Sorry, I meant PS2. You should be able to pop in GT2 and blast around Deep Forest Raceway in your ‘97 Daihatsu Opti Club Sport!

Now your thinking with your dipstick! That would be awesome, love that track!
Dodge Intrepid for me please.

My Mustang doesn’t appear to have the RCA cables, at least not anywhere I can find. Which is super lame.

Sorry bro, I don’t think they were ever offered on the Mustang. They treat that car so different. Ever notice it never has a Ford logo on the outside?
![]() 04/06/2016 at 16:35 |

The S550 has one Ford logo on the outside.

Alright, where is it? This is going to make a hell of a trivia question.

On the windshield where the mirror attaches.
Technically there’s a few more, but that’s the only easily visible one. The windshield and door windows have little ones in the information block, and the driver’s side rear window has a Flat Rock Assembly sticker with a Ford logo on it. Interestingly enough unless I’ve missed on the Flat Rock sticker features the only blue oval on the car, any other Ford logo is black.

Gamecube controllers are always the gold standard measuring stick I use for judging how good a controller is. Nothing's come close to beating it yet.

I’ve been critical of this idea. I don’t spend much time sitting in my car without driving it, and you can get GT1 and 2 at least on your phone.
But this was a massive victory for you.
![]() 04/07/2016 at 09:20 |

Well, the glass info block and the factory sticker is kind of cheating, but I believe the “on the windshield where the mirror attaches” one is a dealer installed strip. It probably also blends in with the little strip of sun protecting tint up there.

Damn right.

It’s a pretty big one on the windshield. It’s kinda funny because it’ll leave a FORD shadow on your face if the sun is right

Love the shadow thing lol
